On the evening of September 28, 2017, alumni and friends of UTS joined together to celebrate the launch of the Building the Future campaign, a $60 million campaign to secure the future of UTS.
The UTS gym, made festive with the UTS white and blue, was filled with guests mingling over appetizers and prosecco with a “fleck of Rosemary”. A trumpet fanfare performed by a student lead everyone into the John and Margaret Withrow Hall, where Jim Fleck C.C. ’49 P ’72, Hal Jackman, school Co-Captains Aaron Dou and Darla Abou Reslan spoke of what this campaign means to UTS.
His Worship John Tory ’72, Mayor of Toronto, sent this message to the audience, urging the entire UTS community to come together to build the future of UTS:
